In December 2025, Mint Hospital Vascular Center, which treats various problems with blood vessels in the arms and legs, achieved 45,000 cases of vascular treatment.

In 2008, Mint Hospital became the first local hospital to open an intervention center, a feature previously found only in university hospitals.

The Vascular Center opened in 2013 and provides integrated diagnosis and treatment for dialysis vascular access (arteriovenous fistula) and diabetic foot, Buerger's disease, and peripheral artery disease.

Mint Hospital Vascular Center treats by accessing the inside of the blood vessels due to the nature of complex vascular treatments.

We have established a smooth collaborative system between the 'Intervention Part' and the 'Vascular Surgery Part'.

Six interventional radiologists and surgeons, along with two anesthesiology and pain medicine specialists, collaborate to perform surgeries and procedures.

This allows for dialysis vascular creation, correction, and vascular recanalization to be performed in one place,

There is also a dialysis room equipped for emergency dialysis in case the scheduled dialysis time is missed.

It is a thoroughly patient-centered system where patients do not need to move from place to place.

Dr. Bae Jae-ik, Chief Director of the Vascular Center at Mint Hospital (Specialist in Interventional Radiology / Doctor of Medicine),

“The key to vascular disease is early detection and appropriate treatment tailored to each patient’s condition,” he said.

Mint Hospital has a treatment system faster than university hospitals and the latest diagnostic and treatment equipment,

"We provide rapid, safe, and optimal treatment by having specialized personnel from university hospitals," they explained.

We provide not only dialysis vascular care but also advanced vascular treatments for peripheral vascular diseases such as diabetic foot and Buerger's disease.

In the past, amputation was the primary treatment for diabetic foot, but this method had high rates of side effects, complications, and mortality.

Chief Director Bae Jae-ik stated, “If diabetic foot is detected early, the possibility of preserving the leg can be increased through interventional vascular revascularization, and

"It can elevate the quality of life for patients," he said, urging attention to diabetic foot in diabetic patients.

Mint Hospital Vascular Center is also actively engaged in internal and external exchange activities, such as inviting overseas medical staff, medical training programs, and lectures.
